Respect for nature and morality shines through in the Adaption exhibition, currently on view at the Redland gallery at Cleveland.
In opening the exhibition, Ssnior lecturer of the Queensland College of Art at Griffith, Russell Craig said patrons should look closely at the works and the titles as they admire and interpret the layered approach to the works.
He said much of the work was in response to the Redlands with some artists surveying and interviewing local people as inspiration for their works.
"Flora and fauna co-exists with the built environment, making the solid forms beat like a pulse," Mr Craig said.
Featured artists are Miles Allen, Helena Jackson-Lloyd and Nicola Moss. The exhibition runs concurrently with Drawn by a Whisper by Rachael lee, until March 8.
