First Grade played on Peter Burge Oval, playing for the annual Kersey Shield. Redlands first innings 116 Jimmy Peirson 26 (77) and second innings 72 were defeated outright by Wests 7dec/120 and 1/69.
Second Grade, playing on Graceville Memorial Park, had a bowl and ripped through Wests batting line up last week with Wests all out for 68. Bailey Stewart 5-17 (10), Craig Weier 2-7, Ben Long 2/14. Redlands in response posted 207 Cameron French 71 (87), Mitch Drennan 48 (135) and Lachlan Honan 34 (18) with some late hitting. Wests in their second innings finished 7/155 with Jasper Sumner 2/31 and Bailey Stewart 2/47.
Third Grade, playing on Fred Kratzman Oval, after being in trouble early last week at 5/25 managed to post a total of 204. Christian Robertson 71* and Trent Conwell 56. Wests were then knocked over cheaply in their first innings for just 37 Luke Haegel 4/16 (12) and Josh Thompson 3/9 (8). Redlands immediately sent Wests back in, but they were able to steady and finished 2/85. Josh Thompson 1/15 and Jacob Apted 1/16.
Fourth Grade, playing on Graceville Memorial Park 2, bowled Wests out for 229. Alex Ward 3/38, Carter Pearson 3-68 and Jason Hill 2/66. Redlands needing a big victory to try to make finals, posted 3dec/231 Matt Conwell 95 (159) and Harry Short 73 (154) to win first innings. Wests were put back in and finished the day 5/75 Jason Hill 4/38 (6).
Fifth Grade played on Peter Burge Oval on the Sunday. Wests posted 135 Wayne Todman 5/35 (15) and Harry Short 3/12 (9). Redlands in response fell just short of winning first innings all out 106. Jason Hutchison 63 and Harry Short 17. West finished their second innings 7dec/102 Chris Barker 3/22 and Wayne Todman 2/27.
Sixth Grade (1) playing on Ron Field Oval bowled out University of Qld for 165. Ben Stuart 3-13, Jay Kildey 2-27 and Ethan Catlow Elliott 2/36. Redlands chasing down the runs, eventually all out for 224. Mason Catlow-Elliot 88 (89), Ben Stuart 34 (28) and Jake Davies 22. Wests second innings finished at 3/176 Riley Morton 1/13 (3).
Sixth Grade (2) played on Dixon Oval against Sandgate Redcliffe. Sandgate posted 281. With Ben Lockwood 5-87, Sean Lloyd 3-73 and Scott Butters 2/32. Redlands were dismissed for just 78 in their first innings Shaun Love 25 (66). Redlands were put back in again and finished the day 8/113 in their second innings with Ryan Short 65 (110).
Over 40s played their Grand Final against Ipswich Hornets at Ivor Marsden Park. Redlands won the toss and batted. They made a solid start at 0/35 only to be bowled out for 59. Wes Aspeling 27 (29) scoring the bulk of the runs. Ipswich then chased down the runs 3/62 to defeat Redlands. Nathan Collins 3/32 (5.1).
We wait for all finals results to be entered, but Redlands looks to have 3rd, 4th and 5th grade teams into the semi-finals commencing next weekend. With the semi-finals played over Saturday and Sunday.
