AUSTRALIAN Opals star Cayla George will take to the court with up-and-coming Redlands basketballers during a girls training camp in April.
Capalaba Wildcats Basketball Club will host the camp at Cleveland District State High School over two days during the Easter school break.
Session times are based on a player's age but all participants will spend three hours with George and receive a singlet and scrunchie as part of their fee.
The camp will focus on skill development and off-court mentoring.
"I have had some extremely high experiences in this game and some super low ones," George said.
"I want to be able to help these young girls, to talk to them about bouncing back from failures and working hard and being resilient.
"This type of mindset can help you in all areas of life. I'm making myself accessible to these young girls. I'm here for them in all areas."
Capalaba Wildcats president Jason Lavender said he was looking forward to welcoming George to the Redlands.
"It's not only Cayla's stature as an elite player, it's her dedication, commitment and desire for girls to play our great sport and have fun," he said.
"This is massive for junior girls basketball, not only for Wildcats, but for girls playing basketball in south-east Queensland".
Tickets cost $120 and can be purchased at caylageorge.com.
The camp is open to players under 18 and will run during the school holidays on April 7 and 8, with session times determined by a player's age.
Cleveland District State High School is located on the corner of Russell and Smith streets, near the Redland Showgrounds.
