This was enough for her to beat Claire Richardson and David Curtin.
Although not officially declared on the Electorial Commission of Queensland's website, she said she received a phone call from the returning officer yesterday afternoon to advise that final votes had been counted.
After distribution of preferences, Cr Williams won by about 1400 votes.
"I am humbled by the faith the Redlands community has shown in electing me to my third term as mayor. This election win means I will become the longest serving leader of this city by the end of the term," she said.
Cr Williams said now was not the time to celebrate, but she wanted to get back to work and support those doing it tough due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I have already met with council's CEO to see what additional support council can give to residents. I am also writing to councillors and local MPs to ask them to work with me to help our community through this trying time," she said.
She said she was committed to working with all councillors to serve the community.
"The next job will be to start work on our 2020-21 budget to ensure residents and the business community can bounce back from the current situation," she said.
