Keep a weather eye around home with this chart

Just for kids: track the weather in this journal

ACM, publisher of this website, is partnering with Children's University Australasia to bring you a series of weekly activity sheets. The activities are designed to be fun, interesting and offer some discoveries along the way, even if you are still in some sort of lockdown as a result of the coronavirus. We hope these ideas will provide entertainment and opportunities for learning. For more activities and to follow the CUA network, go to

This week: Weather Watch

Every day seem like every other at the moment? Let's take a moment to see the differences!

Print out the chart below or make one of your own, and then over the next 12 days choose three words to describe the weather.

Add a different drawing each day to reflect what is going on outside.

You will need to get creative as you cannot choose the same drawing or words on any two days!

  • Make activities fun, avoid creating stress
  • Spend time doing the activities together, each task is achievable
  • Be guided by your child, let them lead the activity
  • There is no one way of doing a task, be creative, have fun
