POLICE have charged a 55-year-old Thornlands man after a $10 million fraud investigation.
The man is alleged to have defrauded his employer, a Logan civil engineering business, between 2007 and 2017.
Police said the man used his position of trust within the company for personal financial gain.
Detective Acting Inspector Adam Bennett urged people to remain vigilant to this type of offending.
"Unfortunately through the dishonest actions of an employee, this family business has experienced a significant financial loss," he said.
"This is a timely reminder of the risks of employee fraud and the need for businesses and companies to show ongoing vigilance and regularly review purchasing and financial procedures and processes."
The man was due to face Brisbane Magistrates Court today charged with one count of fraud dishonest application of property of another.
