TRAIN services have been suspended between Lota and Lindum stations as crews work to remove a truck from the tracks at Manly during peak hour.
A Queensland Rail spokeswoman said emergency services and the Rail Operations Response Unit were called about 6.30am and had been on site since.
She said a heavy haulage truck had been called and was in the process of removing the vehicle from the tracks.
Busses have been arranged to transport commuters between the two stations while the railway line is out of action.
People can still travel from Cleveland station to Lota and from Lindum on various lines into the city.
The Queensland Rail spokeswoman said crews would need to check the tracks for damage after the truck had been removed.
They would then assess the condition of the line and make repairs if necessary.
A time frame for when trains were expected to start running again could not be confirmed.
At this stage it is not know how the truck made its way onto the tracks.
More to come.
