A REDLAND woman has won $42,600 in division 3 of the USA Power Lotto on Sunday.
The Lottery Office chief executive Jaclyn Wood said the woman was delighted with the win.
"She was ecstatic, just yelling and screaming when we informed her of the amount she is receiving," Ms Wood said.
"We could hear her poor husband in the background asking what was going on. I think we gave him quite a scare because he didn't know if it was good news or bad."
The woman, 38, is a regular player with The Lottery Office.
The Lottery Office is licensed in the Northern Territory. When you buy a ticket in one of its lotteries, it buys a matching ticket in an overseas lottery using your numbers.
The Redland woman said she usually played US and European lottos.
"I'm in the process of selling my house and I was planning to use whatever profit I made to buy a boat. My plans haven't changed but I'll be budgeting for a much bigger boat now," she said.
The woman was close to being the sole division 1 or 2 winner with her numbers 15, 21, 27, 47, 49, (7) narrowly missing the winning numbers 15, 21, 22, 27, 47 (7).
She said she had been working from home since the start of COVID-19.
"If I had won the full jackpot I would have retired and bought everything and anything that struck my fancy," she said.
With no division 1 or 2 winners, the Power Lotto has gone to $103 million.
