TWO men have been arrested and charged in relation to the armed robberies of two Capalaba venues last week.
Police allege a 31-year-old from Berrinba in Logan and a 27-year-old from Rothwell west of Redcliffe robbed two business within half an hour of each other in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The men, both brandishing guns, entered a business on Moreton Bay Road about 2.15am where they allegedly held up employees and stole cash.
About 15 minutes later they allegedly stole more money from the gaming room of a Old Cleveland Road venue before fleeing the scene.
Their vehicle, a blue Hyundai, was found burnt out at Logan in the aftermath.
Detectives from the Bayside CIB investigated the crimes and charged the men with a string of offences.
They appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday and were remanded in custody.
Home owner foils burglary
A 27-year-old Capalaba man picked on the wrong household during an alleged double burglary at Alexandra Hills on Friday.
The man was foiled by the owner of the Sophia Place home he was attempting to rip-off.
He was held at the property until police arrived when he was placed under arrest.
The man was also charged for breaking into a house at Constitution Court on the same night.
He has appeared in Cleveland Magistrates Court but has been remanded in custody until October 20.
Kids caught in car theft
THREE children are being dealt with under the Youth Justice Act after stealing a four-wheel-drive from Capalaba on Sunday.
The vehicle, stolen from Crotona Road, has been returned to the owner after police found the youths on Sussex Street.
