THE Redlands VIEW club met for lunch and a fashion show hosted by Portofino fashions on Friday.
This was the club's first meeting this year due to COVID-19 restrictions.
All proceeds from ticket and raffle sales, as well as a percentage of fashion sales went to The Smith Family's Learning For Life programme. The Redlands VIEW Club personally supports five LFL students with their educational costs.
Last year, VIEW clubs of Australia raised more than $1.2 million for The Smith Family and is the largest community sponsor of the education charity's flagship program, Learning for Life - with the club collectively supporting more than 1,400 students.
Aside from fundraising efforts, VIEW members volunteer their time in other ways, including reading with local children to advance their literacy skills, helping children with homework at Smith Family Learning Clubs, acting as mentors for students, making library bags, and donating funds for toys and books for children in need at Christmas time.
