The play which used staging in the museum was given the Covid special platinum award as a company deemed to have presented, supplied and staged and given a service to the theatrical community considered outstanding.
The play When the Darkness Moves was staged by the newly formed Theatre Redlands and was among eight theatre companies to take out this award.
Ms Nary said the play received its award for navigating the challenges of Covid-19 in staging its performance. In this case, the play was staged in two parts to a split audience, one seeing the first then the second and the other seeing the second then the first parts as one performance.
The play also took out a judge's discretionary award for staging original work which, in this case, 'brought the museum to life'.
"It's exciting to think that in our first year, we are now officially a multi-award winning company. I think we all need another party," Ms Nary said.
