The 17-year-old all-rounder, who has been plying his trade in the Redlands first grade side, has been signed as a replacement player for English import Lewis Gregory.
He joins a cohort of Redlands players in the Heat side, including Jimmy Peirson, Sam Heazlett, James Bazley, Simon Milenko and Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne.
If he makes his debut this season, Sinfield will be the first player to turn out for the Heat while still at school.

Coach Darren Lehmann said he was excited to usher the youngster into his BBL experience.
"It's a great thrill for him and I'm sure he'll enjoy working alongside the likes of Mujeeb and Mitch Swepson and demonstrating his skills,'' he said.
"I know the Queensland boys have had a high opinion of him for a while so it's exciting to be a part of his development."
Milenko, Jack Wood and Lachy Pfeffer were called into the squad as replacement players last week.
Sinfield replaces international all-rounder Lewis Gregory, who will need to undergo a two week quarantine period upon his arrival in Australia.
He was apart of the England squad that had their tour of South Africa cancelled earlier this week after a COVID-19 outbreak in the touring camp.
Brisbane will be in action for the first time this season on Friday night against the Melbourne Stars at Canberra's Manuka Oval.
The BBL season starts tonight with a clash between the Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Sixers.
