Everyone who listed a property with LJ Hooker Cleveland between September 1 and November 30 went into a draw for the car, but it was Thornland's Andrew Beany and Kathleen Johnson who came up trumps.
Assistant sales manager Graeme Carmichael said the win saved the couples' hip pocket, as they were in the market for a new car before the giveaway.
"Andrew told me prior to the draw that they were currently looking at purchasing a car for Kathleen, so when they won he was naturally excited and thankful as this saved them the expense," he said.
"Afterwards he contacted Kathleen who refused to believe they'd actually won it, even when he was asking for some details to fill in some of the documents she still didn't believe him."
Mr Beany was one of ten finalists who attended Capalaba's Bartons Mitsubishi in January for the final draw.
All finalists took a number at random and stood behind the corresponding box, one of which contained a key to a Mitsubishi Mirage worth about $17,000.
Mr Beany was the lucky winner and took no time in settling into his new ride.
Unfortunately, he was unable to celebrate the moment with Ms Johnson as she was busy with work.
"Andrew got to unveil the car from under the cover and then jumped into the drivers side and gave the car a big toot of the horn," Mr Carmichael said.
