STAR Community Services will once again offer Redlands seniors an opportunity to learn about the NBN at a seminar scheduled for Cleveland next month.
Redlands RSL will play host to the event on Wednesday, February 3 between 9.30am and 11am, giving seniors the opportunity to have their NBN questions answered over morning tea.
NBN ambassador Keir Tierney said a range of topics would be covered, such as how to connect to the network and get the most out of a connection.
"Participants will also get safety tips (about how) to steer clear of online scams," he said.
"Community awareness is extremely important to ensure NBN is utilised to its maximum."
The information session is an initiative of STAR Tech and will be presented in partnership with NBN ambassadors, much like the online seminars held in October last year.
Launched in December 2019, the STAR Tech program offers technology support to those aged 65 and over, or 50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Entry to the NBN event is free but bookings must be made by calling STAR on 3821 6699.
