WITH the snap lockdowns earlier this month, Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce are calling on tourism and hospitality operators to join them for a round table discussion on February 3.
Last week Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced she had requested JobKeeper be extended for tourism operators as the state reopened its last domestic border to Greater Sydney.
The scheduled JobKeeper end date is March 28.

Chamber president Rebecca Young said currently the REMPLAN data reported approximately 39 per cent of Redlands businesses were still on JobKeeper.
"As a region we need to get boots on the ground feedback to the leaders who have the ability to provide support to business, RCCC see it as their responsibility to facilitate these opportunities for our SME businesses especially in the sectors that is most needed," she said.
The round table discussion will be held at Elysium at Victoria Point Lakeside at 9am.
"We believe that it is also very important to create an eco-ecosystem where business owners can also look to each other as peers to give one another support...we are concerned for business owners mental health not just business health," Ms Young said.
Ms Young said mayor Karen Williams will attend the tourism and hospitality round table to hear how council can further work with the industry to provide support.
Redlands MP Kim Richards and Department of Employment, Small Business and Training regional director Brett Haagsma will attend to give feedback to the minister for small business.
"We encourage those managers and business owners in the hospitality and tourism sector to come support one another and give direct feedback on support they are needing to ensure we can give businesses the best opportunity to thrive post job keeper," Ms Young said.
