THE search for missing man Anthony Roper has entered its sixth day.
Police and SES volunteers have battled heavy rain this week looking for the 69-year-old, who was last seen on Friday.
A police spokesman said the search area stretched from the top of Russell Street down to South Street in Thornlands.
"There's still a ... strong presence of police and SES personnel," he said.
Residents in the area were urged to thoroughly check their properties, including in sheds, boats and vehicles.
UPDATE Monday 4pm
POLICE are urging Cleveland and Thornlands property owners to continue to check their yards as the search continues for missing man Anthony Roper amid wild weather.
Mr Roper was last seen on Friday afternoon, with police launching an air and ground search which has continued over the weekend.
Police said on Monday afternoon that there had been reports Mr Roper had been located but nothing had been confirmed.
"Investigators have been continuously looking for him and carrying out various leads.
"Cleveland/Thornlands property owners please meticulously check your back yards."
Heavy rain lashed the Redlands on Sunday and Monday, with more predicted to fall on Tuesday.

POLICE have released a CCTV image taken of missing Cleveland man Anthony Roper as the search for the 69-year old continues.
The image was captured on Friday evening outside a Cleveland service station at the intersection of Princess and Bloomfield streets.
Mr Roper was wearing blue jeans, thongs and a shirt with dark stripes.
Police are focussing their search today in and around the Cleveland area including Beach Street, Fitzroy Street, Langdon Street and South Street, and are again urging local residents to check their properties, yards, sheds and areas surrounding their homes or businesses.
Multiple police units, and up to 70 SES personnel and volunteers will continue to conduct searches throughout the day, which will also include door knocking local residents.
UPDATE Saturday 5pm
POLICE say the family of Anthony Roper are desperate to have him home, with the 69-year-old now having been missing for 24 hours.
Regional duty officer Inspector Mick Ackery said police were using all available resources to search Cleveland for Mr Roper, including Polair, officers on trail bikes and SES volunteers.
He said Mr Roper had a medical condition affecting his cognition.
Residents were urged to help police in their search.
"He needs his community more than ever now," Inspector Ackery said.
"We are encouraging people to search their backyards (including) any boats, cars, sheds ... that they have in their (yards)."
Inspector Ackery said Mr Roper had been on his way home from a function on foot when he become separated from his family yesterday afternoon.
He was last seen walking on Princess Street towards Fitzroy Street, and was wearing jeans, a white polo shirt with brown horizontal stripes and carrying a blue backpack.
He is described as Caucasian, around 180cm tall, of a large build with blue eyes.
Inspector Ackery said police were in constant contact with Mr Roper's family.
"They are desperate to have him home."
Officers will continue to search into the night, with another major ground search recommencing at first light tomorrow morning.
Anyone with information should call police immediately.

RESIDENTS have been urged to check their properties as the search continues for a man missing from Cleveland since Friday afternoon.
Police hold concerns for Anthony Roper, 69, as he has a medical condition and may be disoriented.
Mr Roper was last seen walking on Princess Street towards Fitzroy Street at 5pm on Friday.
He is described as Caucasian, around 180cm tall, of a large build with blue eyes.

Police, SES and Polair are searching Cleveland on Saturday afternoon, and asked residents and business owners in the area to check their properties, yards and sheds.
