SUPERMARKET giants Woolworths have confirmed a COVID case visited the company's Cleveland store on Thursday.
Staff who worked during the customer's visit have been required to self-isolate and get tested in line with Queensland Health advice.
The health department issued a contact tracing alert for the venue last night, and again this morning with updated exposure times.
Anyone who visited the store between between 4pm and 4.40pm on March 25 must get tested immediately and isolate until returning a negative result.
A Woolworths spokeswoman said the store had been deep cleaned on Monday.
"We've been notified that a customer with a confirmed case of coronavirus was present in our Woolworths Cleveland store on Thursday, March 25," she said.
"Customers and team members should be assured they can continue to safely shop and work at our Cleveland store.
"Any customers who shopped in Woolworths Cleveland on Thursday, March 25 should follow the advice on the Queensland Health website and make contact with health authorities."
Cold Rock Ice Creamery at Raby Bay, only a short walk from Cleveland Woolworths, was also named an exposure site.
Anyone who visited the shop between 3.50pm and 4pm on Thursday must follow the same procedure as those who visited Woolworths.
The state recorded eight new locally acquired coronavirus cases this morning, taking the number of active cases to 78.
