AN infant has been taken to hospital after a two-car crash on a notorious road at Mount Cotton.

Paramedics were called to Mount Cotton Road and Double Jump Road at 6.25pm on Tuesday where they assessed three people, also including a man and a woman.
The woman and the infant were taken stable to Queensland Children's Hospital, while the man declined transport.
It comes after a Birkdale man died in a car and motorcycle crash on Mount Cotton Road in the early hours of March 6.
On April 8, a woman was critically injured in a crash near Mount Cotton State School which left her and an 83-year-old man having to be freed from their vehicles.
The Double Jump Road intersection is a hotspot for crashes, with high speeds on Mount Cotton Road and long waits to turn right out of Double Jump Road at peak times.
