We have painters (in watercolour, pastel, oil, coloured pencil, acrylic), a potter, a glass artist, jewellers, photographers, a fabric artist and many more.
As part of our 30th anniversary celebration year we give away each month a surprise gift bag of beautiful items donated by our members.
We also have a monthly quiz sheet with questions for you to answer to be in the draw for a gift voucher. Don't miss these wonderful opportunities at the gallery.
A special book for visitors to write their thoughts/memories/hopes for the gallery is available.
This book will be placed in the time capsule box - beautifully designed and created by Ashley Wakeling - along with other memories and information at the end of October.
Beverley Perel our amazing fabric artist specicalises in chiku chiku, based on the old Japanese technique of boro, a darning style stitch, making clothes last longer. It is a simple running stitch with cotton thread, often two strands, bonding two or three layers of cloth giving it puckers, shadow and depth.
It has become a way to create items that are original, creative, easy to make and satisfying.
Bev will be holding a hands-on demonstration on Sunday, May 16, from 10am where participants can make a simple cloth drink coaster. No bookings required.
Our exhibition From the Earth ends on Monday, May 3, and Diversity will be on show from Thursday, May 6.
The Gallery is open Thursday to Sunday and public holidays 9.30am to 4.30pm. We look forward to seeing you.
