STAR Community Services will celebrate its volunteers with a free concert being staged at the Raby Bay harbour park from 2pm to 7pm on May 22.
Star Community Services has combined with more than 20 other community groups and non-profit organisations to offer this event which includes food stalls, rides and will finish with a laser light show.
Entertainment is with Melly and the Madmen which promises music from the 1920s to the 1940s and includes jazz, swing, blues, wartime, American song book, rhythm and blues, musical theatre and soul.
Melly and the Madmen will be perform a repertoire of classic songs from Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Doris Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Peggy Lee, Bessie Smith, Julie London, and Louis Armstrong.
Also performing are the Redland City Band trio Con Brio, Cleveland State Primary School Performance choir, Redland City Ukuleles and Rockit Productions diner girls and Arran and Adele.
