A controversial injury-time penalty cost Capalaba FC a dogged draw on Sunday as they fell to Sunshine Coast Wanderers 2-1 in the National Premier Leagues.
The Bulldogs succumbed to the late call at Max Haynes Field after seeming destined for a hard-earned point despite incurring two red cards earlier in the match.
The controversial decision came five minutes into injury time when the Bulldogs' Lewis Ballard and Wanderers' Harry Arnison collided on the edge of the box chasing a loose ball.
Ethan Galbraith converted the subsequent spot kick for the visitors to add to Chris Jancevski's scrambled 80th minute equaliser and snatch the points for the Wanderers.

Earlier, Jakob Mudnic delivered a stunning free-kick from 25 yards out to put the Bulldogs ahead, his first goal of the league campaign.
However, the Bulldogs found themselves on the back foot following the first-half send-off of Tarig Hammad and the late second half dismissal of Omar Sidiqi.
The result sees the Bulldogs without a win in eight league matches since April and sitting eleventh on the competition table, one place outside the relegation zone.
Earlier in the week, the Bulldogs Women's side also succumbed to coastal opposition when they fell to a 3-0 defeat to defending Premiers Gold Coast United.
The Bulldogs were off their game for the Wednesday night clash at Coplick Family Sports Park, conceding early to Deeanna Thompson's opener, before Isabella Habuda's second half double put paid to a second-half fightback.
The result sees the Bulldogs remain in third place on the National Premier Leagues women's table and just one point away from securing their place in the competition's elite top half ahead of the mid-season split.
The Bulldog's women next tackle lower-table Mitchelton FC away this Sunday, while the Men also hit the road when they travel to powerhouse Lions FC on Saturday night.
