VICTORIA Point retiree Ray Armitage is celebrating his 95th birthday this Saturday, but you wouldn't know it with his busy schedule.
Mr Armitage attends water aerobics classes at the Eldridge Swim School in Thornlands twice weekly.
"I've got a treadmill at home that I use, but I really enjoy the company and the exercise here," Mr Armitage said.
He has lived in the Redlands for more than 45 years since retiring from working in the building industry at Carina and Nambour.
The water aerobics classes are run under the Redlands University of the Third Age, an international group which provides educational and social activities for members of the retired community.
Redlands U3A was created in 1998 and now has more than 1700 members.

The classes have been a favourite activity for Mr Armitage since he joined in 2005.
"I've been doing exercises for over 25 years since I quit work, I went to the YMCA for quite a few years and then I found out this class was operating and came up here," he said.
"The people here are my extended family, any one of them I can talk to if I've got a problem, always here for me.
"It keeps me socialising with people I like, they're all good company," he said.
He said he felt just as good as he did when he was younger and enjoyed staying fit and healthy.
"There is no secret, we all have numbers and we've been allocated a number and mine hasn't come up yet, that's the secret," he said.
"I don't even notice the age when I'm exercising, I still feel great."
Mr Armitage still drives himself everywhere and lives independently in Victoria Point, often visiting his wife who lives in aged care.
He will spend his birthday with her, as the couple have not been able to see each other during south-east Queensland's COVID lockdown.
