AN internal investigation by the LNPs disputes committee is looking into allegations that Bowman candidate Henry Pike interfered with the preselection process.
It comes after chair of the local LNP branch, Craig Luxton and treasurer Ed Barclay resigned hours after the vote last month.
Mr Pike said he had been advised not to comment on internal matters but described it as "sour grapes" by a few that were disappointed with the selection as they had backed other candidates during preselection.
It is believed Mr Luxton backed Redlands mayor Karen Williams for the post.
Mr Pike said he would be focused on the Bowman electorate to make sure it stayed in LNP hands, and hoped to bring everyone together during the campaign.
He said the investigation would be resolved soon.
Mr Pike was the only male candidate in the running for preselection, up against Cr Williams, barrister Margaret Forrest, Fiona Ward and Gold Coaster Fran Ward.
