Dunwich Police arrested an 18-year-old man after he allegedly broke into several homes last week.
The Dalby man is in custody facing 25 charges including burglary, stealing and drug offences after police arrested him on the One Mile ferry terminal last Thursday.
Police will allege the man broke into homes at Dunwich last Wednesday and stole cash, mobile phones and other personal items.
According to the police report, a resident in Pamphlet Street disturbed a man breaking into their house and chased him down the street before losing sight of him.
The intruder is believed to have also broken into a house in Petrie Street.
While in custody the man allegedly damaged the police cells at Dunwich Station as well as Cleveland watchhouse, and was charged with wilful damage offences.
Sergeant Darren Scanlan said it was disappointing that the actions of one person, on one night had caused so much distress to residents.
"Minjerribah is a safe community with very little crime. We only had two burglaries in the past 18 months prior to the events last Wednesday night," he said.
