The Redlands Sea Dragons are inviting women and girls to set sail and join their boating group.
After Women's Health Week from September six to 10, the dragon boat racing club will host a come and try day on Saturday September 18 in Redland Bay.
Women's Health Week is held in the first week of September, where women share tips and activities for good health and wellbeing.
Redlands Sea Dragons coaches will guide those taking part through techniques on land and provide paddles and personal flotation devices for those not confident with swimming.
After a short warm up, the crew will walk to the boat ramp and board the boats used for racing.
Club members say that buddied up with an experienced paddler, paddlers will put their new skills to work.
There is even potential to paddle alongside dolphins.
Attendees will sign a waiver, and as it is a physical event, some overall fitness is required.
The event is free and limited to 20 women. To attend, contact the Redlands Sea Dragons on the website.
