The government also announced a super Pfizer weekend this Saturday and Sunday, where all of the state's vaccination hubs will be open for walk-in jabs.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk took to social media to announce the news this morning, and implored Queenslanders to get jabbed.

"Many seniors over 60 have been speaking to me about needing a choice of vaccine," Ms Palaszczuk said.

"Well, from this weekend, you can access the Pfizer vaccine. This is excellent news which I know you'll be very happy about."

She urged anyone over 12 to roll up their sleeves

"We need everyone vaccinated to prevent Delta coming into Queensland."

It comes after Ms Palaszczuk opened a vaccine hub at Mount Warren Park Sports Centre last week.

She also visited Crestmead's Metcash Export Services.

The Logan Entertainment Centre hub, she said, had delivered more than 50,000 vaccinations since it opened in mid-July.

The government also announced no new locally-acquired COVID-19 cases this morning.

One new case was in hotel quarantine, and there are 29 active cases in the state.
