The Clints' Come Again Reunion Cabaret brings its riotous cabaret to Redland Performing Arts Centre auditorium on with two shows at 7.30pm on October 8 and 9..
Meet The Clints is an all-80s, all-cousin, all-Queensland cover band which has survived many things. These include the 80s perm, one of their members being incarcerated in Boggo Road Jail, too many Bunnings sausage sizzles, and now Coronavirus.
Catapulted back into the limelight by an ex-member's murderous scandal, these has-beens-who-almost-were are fishing out their teasing combs and dusting off their catalogue of 80s one-hit wonders, determined to raise enough money to get to Eurovision as Australia's wildcard entry.
Along the way, they're going to set the record straight with a mind-boggling, chart-topping, riotous, tell-all musical exposé.
This topical, tight and tenacious show follows three women who will not give up even though their circumstances suggest they should.
Heart-warmingly ridiculous, the show questions what it is like to age disgracefully in a youth-obsessed, post-COVID-19 world.
It is full of whip-smart dialogue, powerhouse voices and a banging '80s soundtrack. It is performed by acclaimed Queensland artists Elise Greig, Laine Loxlea-Danann and Lizzie Moore.
Tickets are $32 -$35 and can be booked on 3829 8131 or rpac.com.au (booking fees are $5 by phone and $6 online per transaction).
