A DUNWICH teenager has been charged with assault after allegedly headbutting another man at a North Stradbroke Island pub.
Police allege the 19-year-old approached the victim in the Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel smoking area on Saturday.
He allegedly had words with the 21-year-old.
The alleged victim, who lives in Brisbane's western suburbs, suffered facial injuries including a chipped tooth.

The teenager was thrown out of the pub after patrons and security intervened. He is due to appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court next month.
Sergeant Darren Scanlan said he did not understand why young people drank to excess and got themselves into trouble.
"They risk their entire future because of one silly incident. It is totally avoidable," he said.
Man caught more than double alcohol limit
A STRADDIE visitor has been charged with drink driving after being caught more than double the alcohol limit at Point Lookout on Saturday night.
Police pulled the 55-year-old over on Dickson Way where he allegedly returned a reading of 0.122.
His licence was immediately suspended and he will appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court later this month.
Sergeant Scanlan said the man, from Forestdale in Logan, would be without a licence for some time.
"He thought as he was only driving two minutes down the road and back he would not get caught, (but he was) wrong," he said.
Holidaymakers rack up tickets
SERGEANT Scanlan has reiterated that road safety is everyone's responsibility after 25 tickets were handed out on Straddie in the last week.
It came as people flooded to the island during the school holidays, filling up beaches and camp grounds.
A total of 17 infringements were handed out in just two days at Point Lookout, with offences including speeding, failing to wear a seat belt and driving through stop signs.
The highest speed recorded was 50km/h in a 30km/h zone on Mooloomba Road at Point Lookout.
Sergeant Scanlan said police would continue handing out fines as long as people ignored road rules.
"Driver's shouldn't need a police officer to be standing their watching them to ensure they do the right thing."
