Speaking at the Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce's Connected Business Breakfast, Mr Webcke said the key to success was always hard work.
"Being a champion, on the field, or in business, requires determination, resilience and passion.
"The key to success is to always work hard, keep turning up, do something you love and take the opportunity when it is offered to you," he said.
More than 150 guests attended the event at the Alexandra Hills Hotel, giving the business class students an opportunity to speak to local business owners.
Chamber president Rebecca Young said one of the key economic outcomes for the region was more jobs.
"Engagement with local schools at these events helps to foster Redlands bright future ahead.
"By learning from the legends and other businesses in the room, the students can see the potential employability and liveability that could be available to them, and how they can become part of a thriving, diverse and connected business community," she said.
