SCENIC Rim police have advised that from July 1 all traffic infringement fines will be going up.
Police said several of these were being increased in an attempt to improve safe road use from all drivers.
A spokesperson for Boonah police said all drivers needed to be aware of the increase relating specifically to certain offences.
The speeding penalty bracket of 1-12km/hr and 13-20km/h will change to 1-10km/hr and 11-20km/h.
Motorists clocked doing one to 10km/h over the speed limit will now earn themselves a $287 fine and two demerit points.

Drivers overshooting the speed limit by 31-40km/h can expect a $1078 ticket and six demerits.
Speeders clocked doing 40km/h over the speed limit will cop a $1653 fine and lose eight points off their license.
Double demerit points will apply for two or more offences committed within 12 months of the previous offence for speeding offences 21km/hr and above.
Not wearing a seat belt will cost $1,078 and earn four demerit points.
Penalties apply for failure to wear a correctly fitted seatbelt for drivers and passengers (unless exempt) or a properly fitted child restraint.
Double demerit points apply for other offences committed within 12 months of the previous offence.
A $575 penalty for running a red light will come with three demerit points.
This includes not stopping at yellow or red traffic lights.
