Naima Hassan’s body was found by members of the public at Sovereign Waters foreshore on Tuesday, October 31, three days after she was reported missing by her family.
An extensive land and air search was triggered after her car was found parked at Wellington Point Reserve on Sunday, October 29, with the area again scoured for clues by police and SES after the discovery of her body.
Police are calling for the public’s help to find Ms Hassan’s grey iPhone, set of keys and two library books called The Belle of Belfast by Anne Marie Foster and 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami.
A light grey ankle-length skirt, believed to belong to Ms Hassan, is also sought along with a pair of black and white Converse shoes and black head scarf.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said the items, if not already retrieved, might still be in or around the Wellington Point coastline.
“While there are no suspicious circumstances, detectives are appealing for anyone who may have, or locate, the...items,” the spokesperson said.
Ms Hassan was last seen by her family on Saturday, October 28 but was later captured on CCTV footage buying a chocolate at a Wellington Point service station.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner.
The police spokesperson did not specify where the library books were borrowed from.
Those with information about the items sought can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or their nearest police station.
