A 41-YEAR-OLD woman who allegedly kicked a police officer in the head after bringing him to the ground has been charged with police assault.
A police spokesperson said officers had been called to a Dunwich property after receiving reports of someone trespassing on Sunday.
Police had arrested a 23-year-old woman at the scene when the 41-year-old woman allegedly began fighting officers.
Cleveland police said it would be alleged in court that the older woman brought a police officer to the ground before kicking him in the head.
She was arrested and charged with assault of police occasioning bodily harm.
The 23-year-old was charged with trespass and obstruction of police.
The spokesperson said the officer was not seriously hurt.
