Mayor Karen Williams said about 1500 people took part in the Redlands Coast Healthy and Active program in term four of last year.
“Many residents embrace the program to try new activities and schedule regular exercise into their busy lives,” she said.
“A broad range of activities inclusive of all abilities and experience is on offer (and) most with wet weather contingencies.”
This year, a children’s rugby league program founded by former Queensland Origin great Billy Slater called Billy’s Buddies was also offered.
“Our Redlands Coast Healthy and Active Program is making a positive impact on the community,” Cr Williams said.
