ORMISTON College graduate Jordan Predl has headed to Sydney to attend one of the Australia’s most prestigious performing arts schools.
Ms Predl, who danced at Ashfield Ballet School in Capalaba for 14 years, is now studying an Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts at ED5 International in Sydney.
She was also accepted into Ettingshausens Pro and Brent Street Studios, but said she accepted a position at ED5 due to its impressive track record.
“I chose ED5 because of their outstanding reputation, the love they show for their students and the success of all of their graduates,” Ms Predl said.
“When I found out I had been accepted into all three schools I had auditioned for, it was definitely tough to pick one, but I knew that ED5 was the only place I really wanted to be.”
Ms Predl also won an Australian Teachers of Dancing senior tap scholarship in Queensland and travelled to New York and Orlando to train at some of the top dance schools in America.
Hayley Ashfield, principal of Ashfield Ballet School, said Ms Predl’s commitment to dance was impressive.
“We are so incredibly proud of Jordan and all she has achieved,” Ms Ashfield said.
“She was able to manage and balance her dance studies and schooling and is now aiming for a career in the Ms Predl is a fourth generation dancer following in the footsteps of her mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
“I have been dancing since I was three years old,” Ms Predl said.
“I first realised I wanted a career in dance when I was around 13 years of age, so all of my training since then has been preparing me for full time dancing.
“My future goals are to definitely become a professional performer but my main priority is to work hard, grow and appreciate every opportunity.”
