Students, dressed as their favourite book characters, got the chance to meet the pilots and visit the chopper up close on the school oval.
SLSQ Brisbane community awareness coordinator Sarah Hesse said surf life saving representatives visited schools around south-east Queensland every two weeks to deliver a special beach safety program.
"We see around 60,000 kids a year," she said.
"At the moment it's coming towards the end of term three so we are pretty much booked out for the next three weeks and then into term four we'll be at three to four schools a day doing beach safety presentations.
"It's great because so much beach safety information is getting out there and we are picking up more and more schools and more programs.
"It's great that schools are getting on board and acknowledging that beach safety is really important."
Radio station 96five also visited the school, broadcasting live from the oval pavilion in front of parents and students.
