POPULAR Cleveland kids centre Bay Play has announced that it will close its doors.
It comes three months after management reversed a decision to shut down after strong community support on social media.
Management told the Redland City Bulletin the latest decision was final and that they were in the process of selling the centre's play equipment, furniture and electronics in anticipation of their last day on Sunday, November 3.
"Unfortunately the overheads were just too much to continue," they said.
Management announced after its back-flip on July 10 that it would overhaul the centre to keep the business going, citing insufficient enrolments and bookings during the school terms as the reason for their initial decision to close.
"When we revamped we had a very small budget but we managed to build a parents' room, repaint all the party rooms and majority of the centre and construct a toddler area," management said.
In a statement on Bay Play's Facebook page, management told customers they were closing due to "increasing business costs and a depression in (the) market".
"It is unfortunate that we must close our doors but we would like you to know how much we appreciate your business and support with us during the past five years," management said.
They asked people to be patient with staff in the wake of their decision.
It is not known how many people will lose their jobs.
