It comes 18 months after Health Minister Steven Miles launched a $500,000 business case into a multi-level car park, saying it would be completed by the end of 2019.
Capalaba MP Don Brown said the petition was merely a last minute political stunt and the government was already preparing to make an announcement on hospital parking in the "near future".
Mr Pike said he had received about 200 responses to the petition and believed the community was fed-up with inaction.
"The community wants to know if the government is serious about making this investment or if they just wasted half a million dollars to buy some more time," he said.
"The question has to be asked about why it always seems to be the Redlands that misses out on the serious hospital investments."
Mr Brown said the state government had completed the business case and was close to making an announcement.
"The LNP's track record on health infrastructure while in government was nil," he said.
"During their time in government, we saw beds closed at Redland Hospital and nurses sacked.
"We are yet to see any plan at all from the LNP in regards to health, even in the midst of COVID."
When asked about why there was a delay in the parking announcement, Mr Brown said the state government had to do its due diligence.
Mr Pike said urgency was needed to stop people, particularly the elderly, from walking long distances to access the hospital.
"It's all right for me as a young man to hike the distance back to the hospital from a far-flung car park, but for our older Redlanders and for those transporting children or elderly patients it just isn't acceptable," he said.
"Many staff and patients have shared their stories of having to carry sick children in from hundreds of metres away or walking in the darkness after finishing their shifts."
