VICTORIA Point songstress Aislinn Sharp is promoting her new single Matter to help advocate mental health awareness on R U OK? Day on Thursday.
Ms Sharp is a registered psychologist and put pen to paper to work through her feelings after her cousin took his own life two years ago.
The song, which was released last month encourages people to reach out to others and ask them a simple but important question: are you okay?
Ms Sharp, an R U OK? ambassador performed her song last week at the the final RPAC Live Session to a small audience who attended the event as well as people who watched the concert via live streaming.
'I closed Saturday night's show by playing my new R U OK inspired song Matter to encourage more people to have conversations with anyone who might be struggling with life.
"I really appreciated having the RPAC Live Session organisers support in helping to promote mental health awareness and R U OK Day at this special event," she said.
