AN estate agency with ties to the Redlands during the 2000s and a name familiar to locals has reopened after a stint out of the property game.
Long-time friends Reg Kaasik and Jason Marshall have teamed up to put Brisbane Bayside Real Estate agency back in business.
The company - which deals with commercial, industrial and residential properties - reopened at Victoria Point in January.

Mr Marshall bought the business last year from Mr Kaasik, who started the agency in 2000 but began closing it down in 2012.
"As part of the business handover, Reg is going to be my Yoda and I will be his humble student," Mr Marshall said.
"Reg is like a walking encyclopedia of Redlands commercial property.
"He has been through the absolute boom of the eighties. Capalaba was a double drive-in with a strip down Redland Bay Road at the time.
"There was no Oldfield Holden, there were very few businesses down that main strip.
"Reg has been through the transformation from what it was back then to what it is now.
"He claims he was the first agent in Queensland to have a mobile phone number on a real estate sign. That mobile cost him $7000 and it was a huge brick thing."
The agency operates out of Mr Kaasik's White House Business Centre near Colburn Avenue at Victoria Point.
Mr Marshall said the business' history in the Redlands and Mr Kaasik's more than 30 years of real estate experience made it easier to relaunch the brand.
"We've reinvigorated the agency," he said. "Reg is going to be my mentor and help me understand commercial real estate a bit better.
"It's sort of like a start-up again but its got a name that everybody knows, so that makes life a little bit easier."
"We have given it a bit of a new look but have taken the old logo and kept the traditional colours."
Mr Kaasik said he was delighted to be relaunching Brisbane Bayside Real Estate.
"Jason's enthusiasm for good old fashioned customer service and his commitment to the Redlands community has played a key part in the agency re-launch," he said.
