A MAN has suffered serious facial injuries after being assaulted during an alleged early morning robbery at Birkdale this week.
The 41-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment after the attack at a home on Kamala Place about 1.30am on Tuesday.
Police allege two men stole a white Toyota Hilux after the assault and fled the scene.
The vehicle was found at Capalaba at the intersection of Bowen and Denison streets shortly after 2am the same morning.

The Bayside Criminal Investigation Branch is following up the matter and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
People who were driving on Birkdale Road and Old Cleveland Road East between 1am and 2am on July 27 should contact the Bayside CIB.
Man robbed at ferry terminal
POLICE have arrested two locals after a man was robbed at the Redland Bay ferry terminal car park last Wednesday.
Police allege money was taken from the man about 4.50am on Wednesday, July 21.
A 27-year-old Redland Bay man and 31-year-old Alexandra Hills man have been arrested and charged with robbery and drug offences.
They were due to appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court this week.
The victim was not injured.
