Redlands seniors will be celebrated at Cleveland Aquatic Centre with three days of free activities next month.
From October 21-23, there will be a breakfast, morning tea and lunch each day, with aquatic activities, informative workshops and presentations.
The final day will be a fun free for all, with dancing and entertainment, including a live performance from Mama Juju and the Jam Tarts with classic tunes from the 50s and 60s.
Cleveland Aquatic Centre health club manager Cindy Prieto said it was a great opportunity for the centre to recognise seniors and showcase all of the things they could do to stay fit and healthy.
"Seniors do so much for our community and we would like to give back and reward them for all of their support," Ms Prieto said.
"We want to give them the opportunity to see that there are places for them around here and lots of activities that they can still do for fun and fitness."
The workshops will be run by health and fitness professionals and community organisations including the Redlands District Committee of Ageing to encourage seniors to stay active and prevent chronic disease.
Ms Prieto said the Cleveland Aquatic Centre catered to seniors all year round with activities to keep them active and socialise with friends in the community.
"For seniors, we have athletic activities like aqua aerobics, a land based exercise program, senior swimming competitions, and these days will show them all of the activities available," she said.
Ms Prieto said seniors who attended were welcome to bring families and carers.
Seniors week at the Cleveland Aquatic Centre is a free event with no bookings required and will run from October 21-23 with a range of activities across the days.
