A Victoria Point singer is ready to drop her latest summer hit inspired by the humble push-bike.
Aislinn Sharp will release her single Red Red Bike, a tune about having the strength and resilience to overcome challenges in life.
Ms Sharp said the song was inspired by her experiences with triathlons and her love of bike riding.
"I love taking part in triathlons and every rider I know has had a fall on their bike, it's very common, and they will always pick themselves up," she said.
"The song is so upbeat and it makes me feel happy, and I just really want to share that feeling with everyone."
The single to be released December 8 follows the releases of her other songs, electronic-pop tracks, Phone, The Wall and, the R U OK? Day inspired anthem called Matter, and Covid ode Unsung Hero.
"Red Red Bike is upbeat pop-track about being pumped and excited to go out for a ride but all of a sudden you fall to the ground," Ms Sharp said.
"It's is about resilience and overcoming obstacles to get back on the bike and enjoy the ride."
Ms Sharp said she is inspired to write songs to help people move and connect, and on top of her singing career, she is a registered psychologist and R U OK? Day ambassador.
"It's a great metaphor as well about everything we've been through with COVID, we've all had a bit of a fall in one way or another, and I hope this song inspires people to get back up," she said.
