Tomorrow there is an even money chance of showers, a reduced chance on Sunday and on Monday a 50-50 chance.
Walkers Mohinder Singh, Baldev Singh and Percy Burden were caught up in the rain while they made their way along the main drag at Cleveland this morning.
The group, who join other walkers three days a week to keep active, said they would not let the rain dampen their spirits.
"It is crazy but we still walk," Mr Burden said.
"Everybody does it. They don't say 'well I'm not going out there because it's raining'.
"There is no excuse for not walking."
