REDFEST organisers have not budged on their start date for this year's show despite the Ekka being cancelled for just the third time in its history due to public health concerns during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Festival director Luke Kinman said the organising committee were weighing up its options and would meet at the end of April to decide how the show would be delivered.
In a statement to the Redland City Bulletin, Mr Kinman did not say whether the show would be postponed or cancelled at the meeting, stating only that organisers were considering their options "in relation to the delivery".
"Whilst no formal decision has been made, the committee are continuing to monitor the health advice and government gathering restrictions," Mr Kinman said in a statement.
"The main priority is the safety and well-being of the community and team of volunteers."
GreazeFest Kustom Kulture Festival, held at the Redland Showgrounds each year, was postponed in March as organisers reacted swiftly to government restrictions on gatherings and travel.
The show was originally scheduled to run from July 31 to August 2 but has been pushed back to late November.
More coronavirus news:
Greazefest organisers said on Facebook that the decision was made in line with federal government requirements.
They promised to keep fans informed of updates.
RedFest organisers also told followers in March that they would be made aware of developments if the situation changed but they have not posted publicly on their Facebook page since March.
According to the RedFest website, the show is still scheduled for September 4 to 6.
